Recipe 1. Nachos!

Everyone loves nacho's. Here's a vegetarian recipe for a family favourite.

Ingredients.

Makes 2.
  • 400g Red Kidney beans
  • Tomato Paste
  • Bag of corn chips, plain flavor.
  • Maggie Chili and Garlic sauce (this is hard to come by, using garlic powder is fine too)
  • Ground cumin
  • Toppings of choice (cheese, tomato and lettuce works well)

  1. Drain the kidney beans. Put into saucepan with 2 heaped teaspoons of tomato paste and 1/2 cup of water, stir.
  2. Add a tablespoon of chili and garlic paste (or as much chili and garlic powders as you desire).
  3. Stir in cumin.
  4. Cook over a medium heat until its bubbling gently.
  5. Pour half the packet of chips onto a plate, cover in the sauce.
  6. Cover in your favorite toppings.
Bingo! Its a cheap, easy and simple meal to get you though another day of student life.
